LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is an internationally-renowned facilitated process used by organizations to engage participants to generate innovative ideas for organizational improvement. The methodology is based on extensive research and enables people to address complex issues in a fun and engaging way. Upon programme completion, you will become a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method Facilitator with a certificate issued by Strategic Play® Group and signed by Jacqueline Lloyd Smith, the Global Master Trainer.

Content Overview

Pre-Course with OPEN Enrollment up to one month before your program starts.

This playful and creative program includes 8 hours of pre-course work that is offered up to one month before your live classroom opens with online instruction. Our learner-centered program has been designed to meet the needs of all learning styles.

Pre-Course:

Our pre-course is a self-serve learning system designed to provide learners time to absorb this powerful method within their own framework for easy learning transfer. In the pre-course, you can set your own pace and work through materials with online support as needed. You will learn how to use the tools and materials along with background theory so you are ready for your live classroom experience. You can test your knowledge with an online quiz to ensure you are ready to meet the next learning challenge.

Day 1 – Individual Work

The first classroom day focuses on individual development. We will show you how you can apply this method for onboarding, leadership, and personal development, team player development, performance evaluation, and even personal learning plans.

This classroom day will include:

  • Live online instruction with your instructor and classmates
  • Hands-on building
  • Individual and group work
  • One-on-one supervision and training
  • Self-serve learning
  • Reflection
  • Q&A

Day 2 – Teams and Group Work

The second day moves participants thorough processes where they explore individual identity and gain insight into how they can customize the tools for any number of workshops or processes, including: team, department, project, product, tech, community, brand, and organizational development.

This classroom day will include:

  • Live online instruction with your instructor and classmates
  • Hands-on building
  • Individual and group work
  • One-on-one supervision and training
  • Self-serve learning
  • Reflection
  • Q&A

Day 3 – Landscape and Systems Work

The third day of the training will provide you with an understanding of how to use the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® identity and landscape materials kit to build 3D models. These models will illustrate the complex environments where entities like teams and projects and other interconnected systems function, and how these environments “play out” in real-time.

This classroom day will include:

  • Live online instruction with your instructor and classmates
  • Hands-on building
  • Individual and group work
  • One-on-one supervision and training
  • Self-serve learning
  • Reflection
  • Q&A

Day 4 – Master Class Workshop Design and Practice

As if you haven’t had enough fun already, our final day gives you an opportunity to practice your facilitation skills in a safe environment. You will receive feedback from your colleagues and a Certified Licensed LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods facilitator.

This classroom day will include:

  • Live online instruction with your instructor on roadmap design
  • Hands-on building with your “practicing facilitator”
  • Constructive feedback
  • Wrap up
  • Q&A

Sandra Lunn
Certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods Facilitator. Strategic Play® Group Licensed Trainer in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods in Hong Kong and Macau. Sandra has built a strong reputation as an experienced LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods Facilitator, corporate trainer, vocational educator, workplace coach, assessor, instructional designer and consultant. Sandra brings a powerful combination of professional training expertise, flexibility and adaptability, industry currency and innovative approaches to often challenging environments.

Brian TANG
Certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods Facilitator. Strategic Play® Group Licensed Trainer in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods in China. TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education & Training. Registered Corporate Coach™. Master of Business Administration.

Brian has almost 10 years’ experience in talent development and trainings specializing in adult learning, vocational learning, blended learning and LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®. He has delivered a vast array of programmes in the areas of leadership development, management skills, storytelling, presentation and train-the-trainer etc. Audience ranges from frontline staff, management executive and training & development manager.

Both Sandra and Brian are licensed, certified trainers who are members of the Global Federation of LSP Master Trainers trained by Jacquie Lloyd Smith. They are the Strategic Play® Group licensed partners in Hong Kong & Macau and China respectively.

Award of Certificate

A certificate will be issued by Strategic Play® Group with the signature from Jacqueline Lloyd Smith, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods Global Master Trainer, endorsing the participant as a Certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods Facilitator, given full class attendance and completion of the in-class assessment.

A certificate will also be issued by the Hong Kong Productivity Council to participants with full attendance of online training and completion of assessment.
